This is my betta fish Fireball. He is my little fish baby. I love him so much. Fireball is extremely old. His veils are folded and torn and his pectoral fins are almost translucent. Most of his scales are dull. He spends a lot of his time napping on his hammock or at the bottom of the tank where it's cooler. Image

He was actually the "ugliest" betta at the pet store, he looked even duller than he did now, mama objected me getting him but I thought he was beautiful just because he was "ugly". He was in a small cup and I knew he was old, so I wanted to make the last part of his life nice. I guess I'm doing something right because he is still living. And his scales have improved! His diet consists of bloodworms, mysis and daphnia, because his royal highness is the pickiest eater ever. He is actually really cute. He gets all wiggly when you walk up and he does tricks too.

What kind of tricks does he do?

If you dip your finger over his hammock he'll lie down and take a nap on it. He is also trained to follow your finger. Right now I'm teaching him to go through a hoop.

I know! It's a little small, but I got that My Fun Fish Tank from that TV ad. I saw it at Walgreens and I wanted to try it, so I went to the pet store and bought a betta fish for it. I wish it was a little bigger, but other than that, he has enough room to move about and he has everything he needs to be happy without sacrificing space. He's got his heater, hammock and I change his plant weekly.

I saw that ad on TV too. I had a feeling it was that type of tank because of that pipe. I really like it. I had fish in my room before my birds but I gave them to my aunt and uncle because the birds took over. I still have fish in the living room but not in my room anymore.

I just keep him in the living room. I take him outside for some different scenery sometimes too.
