He'll get the best visual effects with red corn.

I've never seen corn that was all red and didn't even know whether it existed until I googled it. But there's a lot of "Indian corn" in the fall which has a variety of colors, and some of it is mostly red. It's mostly used for decoration but it's edible (in theory at least - they say it's pretty tough).

my birds like it too but usually they nibble on leaves.
I am very upset as our local Kroger that had organic kale a dollar a bunch for a really long time now increased its price back to 2 bucks. Now sure what to do... rabbits and birds love it and I used to buy a lot!

Is this how you serve veggies Carolyn? on top of the cage that is covered with newspaper?

I serve veggies on top of the cage but I usually clip it to the bars. With big chunks of stem like the one she's chewing on I might put it in a bowl on top of the playgym side of the cage top. I don't remember all the details of what led up to that photo, but Shodu probably grabbed a piece and dragged it over to that location.

Here's how I usually serve vegetables:

That's Heidy Piedy. She's cinnamon pied and is one of Pip and Ladybug's children. I didn't keep her, and now she lives with a family who adores her.

No, Heidi has a mate! They had two babies last year, and I don't know what has happened since then.
