You're not supposed to toss 'em that high lol. But if they flap when you toss, they can end up going a lot higher than you planned.

I've seen birds bump their own heads on the ceiling when they tried to fly too high, without any assistance from me. Henry flew up into a skylight a few days ago. He came down right away and brought a surprising amount of dust with him. I never dust up there unless I see spider webs, so it was nice of Henry to dust it for me.

thats really why he flew up to the skylight... he was helping out with the chores!

Pretty surprising work from a guy whose usual idea of helping is to poop all over the place so I'll have something to clean up.

Same here. I actually keep a supply of small toys on top of the cage so they can play avian fetch with me. Doesn't say too much about my intelligence, does it?

It's more an issue of sore feet - it's not fun stepping on that stuff when I don't see it on the floor!
