I finally separated the seeds from the pellets, and at first, they didn't even epget close to them, but hunger makes the call; I did not give them ANY seed at all in the whole day until they went and took a second look, and sure enough, they ate them! Happy!

But now, as Carolyn told me, I'm the 'seed dispenser' so I'm getting much more attention from them. And I also bought budgie seed sticks, they're the closest to nutriberries here, but I doubt they will do the same job.

They consider it as a 'must have' now. And they're doing all they can to get them. I'm also giving them pure millet as treats.

Here's what they look like eating. Oh, and the reason I have two sticks is because Coco abuses poor and weak little Pip.

My old birds Jail Bird and Teak loved them. None of my current birds do.

They do look like they're having fun!

You're right that these seed sticks won't do the same thing as Nutriberries. They don't have all the vitamins and minerals, and they're basically plain seed glued together with sugar. If you're able to go to that bird mart in Phoenix maybe you'll be able to get some Nutriberries there, or maybe your uncle can get some for you to take next time you see him.

Coco looks more like he's playing with it, rather than eating it.

Glad they love it though. They both seem really happy!

But the packaging said it had egg on it, and that was keeping it together. And also it said it had a lot of vitamins, I didn't count them, but I did see a few. And it said that the sugar it had came from papaya fruits and stuff like that. So in a way I think it's kind of healthy, right?

The vitamins have probably been sprayed on the seed hull, which the bird doesn't eat. But it might be reasonably healthy. Most of these seed sticks use corn syrup as glue, which is a form of sugar.

Indeed, sometimes they'll spray on the vitamins, which doesn't help, since they eat the inside of the seed. Possibly more useful for birds that are unable to crack open the shell and just eat the seed altogether, but not to parrots.

I've also noticed how much of a pig Coco is, in this video. You took his seed stick away, and he just went ahead and snatched pip's. He also tried to take the pellets(?) from pip when you were feeding both of them by hand.

That's true! Coco abuses Pip's brain disfunction to take advantage and steal his seeds!

But Pip has started to defend himself now. He chooses his bowl by pooping on it, and Coco is WAY too classy to eat poo's!

I forgot what I was gonna say... I always forget tha last commentsss!
