Don't worry, the video is much cuter than it sounds. This little indian myna bird talks and does impressions of other animals (mainly birds).
Being either a duck, chicken, or "turkey talker", this smart little bird seems to know all kinds of phrases.
"Kaleo", the bird in the video, was rescued at three days old, when he fell out of his nest, possibly suffering from a foot injury (owner never confirmed this, but look at his right foot).
Mynas are one of the best non-parrot talkers out there, basically being the "mocking bird" of the east cost. The common Myna, also known as the "Indian Myna", is native to Asia, though it's also invasive to a few areas like Australia, and considered a nuisance by many. As good as a companion they seem to be, they don't seem to be commonly owned as pets in many places like the U.S. (probably because of the varying laws regarding birds like mynas, within each state).
This has been one of the many species of birds I considered getting. I'm pretty sure they're legal in my area, though not commonly bred here. Quite expensive as well, from the prices I've seen online. Considering the pictures I've seen of the local bird club's October Bird expo, I wonder if I there would be a chance of finding one there. Yeah, it might annoy the heck out of my parents, though I think it would be pretty fun.
