Has anyone seen the fiilm, "the wild parrots of telegraph hill?"
I am watching it on a DVD.

I am thinking about a man I used to work with, maybe 30-40 years ago who told me he had a parrot. He used to talk about her a bit. I really didn't know much about pet parrots. It was during a 40 year period of my life when I had no bird in my house. I kind of thought a pet bird was either a budgie (which I had as a child) or a macaw. So, I always pictured him with this huge bird. Now, I know that he might have had a conure. I kind of wish we had stayed in touch.

That's a great movie (actually a documentary), and before the movie was made there was a book with the same title which is also a fun read. I own both of them lol.

Not to give the ending away or anything, but there were a few handicapped birds in the movie that ended up at the Oasis Sanctuary in southern Arizona, not super far from Tucson. The last of them, Mingus, passed away a year or two ago.

Im watching it now lol I watched the trailer and it looks good so im gonna watch it I love parrot movies/Documentaries.
