Well, he took it with his martyr face as if saying: "ok now you are drenching me in water. What else will I have to endure???"
But at least he looks slightly nicer.
In the video it's possible to see the condition of his neck, he needs some nice new feathers there. He doesn't pluck, at least I haven't found any
feathers on the bottom of the cage, so I guess it's just a matter of time and patience.

I gave him half a kiwi in a cup, today. He went to the cup, licked the kiwi, then grabbed it and threw it on the floor
He likes mango and apple, though.

Reminds me of eggs and Beaker. I was once testing his father material when he was a single bird, in case of him wanting to breed in the future, should I ever get a hen and decide I want to. I put him on the counter and put a chicken egg next to him. He pushed it off the counter and laughed at it when it broke. Guess who had to clean that up?

At least he's eating something healthy! It took my Jail Bird and Teak MONTHS to try something new. And all JB would eat was lettuce. At least Teak ate a varied diet once I ditched his sunflower seed addiction. I too, like apples and mangos. Two of my favorite fruits.

This morning I was looking at him intensely, looking at his feathers, and he started growling... I guess he doesn't like to be stared at

Predators stare when they're getting ready to strike, so birds aren't too keen on being stared at lol. When you want to look at him you can take a lot of short looks and blink or move your head a little in between each look to make it seem more casual.

That is so funny I didn't think of that! That's always the first thing I do when I have a nervous bird! Blonde moment. :roffle: :roffle: :roffle:

I remember a conversation on a different board where someone said they calmed their bird down by staring at it. Many birds will go very still when there's a predator in the area to avoid attracting the predator's attention (or maybe to trick the predator into thinking the bird is an inanimate object), and I had to tell her that this is probably what her bird was doing. Sort of the opposite of calming down lol.
