Once you get your permit you can drive with someone at least 21 years old that has a license. You have to wait a year after getting your permit to be eligible to take the drivers test. If you pass, you're good to drive on your own.

Ok. I thought I was allowed to get my license this month but I checked and it said next month. A little more waiting but I get to practice more which is anyways good. I won't feel pressure to hurry up.

You know what, I think I'm going to go get my permit this week or next week. I've been putting that off for too long and I think it's about time I got around to it so I can practice. I've been taking DMV quizzes several times and my average is 93%, so I think I'm ready to go take that test to get my permit.
