I haven't said this to anyone, friends or family, but I feel I can share with you guys and I hope you will root for me!

I have been trying to move from this flat for a year now, looking for a place with a garden.
Last July I found a good swapping possibility, this gentleman wanted my flat and I wanted his bungalow with a nice garden. We went as far as signing all the paperwork and then this guy changed his mind. I was devastated, I had already packed and all, it was such a huge blow I abandoned the search for several months.

Now there is someone who has contacted me, who wants to exchange his 2 bedroom flat (with big garden) for my flat.
I am trying to keep my hopes very low to avoid another horrible disappointment, but obviously I hope that this time we will reach an agreement and stick with it!

I would have to move about 20 miles south-west from where I am now, which is not a huge distance, the village is nice and I'd love a change, for the garden and because after 10 years living in the same place I am ready for a new start.

He will come here to see my place tomorrow in the afternoon, and I am already panicking because this place is a mess, and what will he think of the bird room only God knows...

So, please please send good thoughts this way, and try to cyber-hypnotise the guy into thinking that this place is wonderful so that he'll agree to the swap!!

Thank you! I spent the day scrubbing floors and other similarly not fun activities, and found the time to hang the new big cage: it makes the bird room seem a bit less chaotic, maybe because it's square lol
Ah well, let's hope the guy is a bird lover... That would potentially be a deal maker :-D

She is a very young lady, liked the flat and tomorrow I go see hers... She wasn't afraid of the birds thank god, laughed when I explained that the bedroom is now birdland :-D
My only concern is that she might be too young to be considered for my flat. Sigh!!

Hi Barbra I hope you get the move accepted as I know how much you can miss a garden. I moved from a flat to this lovely bungalow on a farm in beautiful Kent last year. Moving my birds was a real challenge although I only had sixty odd birds at the time. But it was worth it the place is a pig sty but converted it is a lovely place with a lovely bird room and I have my own bedroom separate from my flock. its a nice size garden if ever you are this way you will be welcome to visit. by the way just took on another cockatiel a female so that gives me six males and four females
