I bet most of you have never heard of this. Well, at least I didn't until today. Parrot CPR. I doubt I'll ever have to use this, but it's good to know just in case of emergency. I thought it was very fascinating.

They said with small birds like budgies, lovebirds, parrotlets, linnies and tiels, most of the time, the actual pressing on the bird is only if no heartbeat is to be found. Since this is a small bird forum, one must lay their bird on its back, put their mouth over the nare and administer 5 short, quick puffs of air into it. Stop and listen for improvement. If there is, lessen your breaths to 2 breaths each. Then, if it starts to worsen, then you have to go into CPR. They were doing a demonstration at The Bird Shop, but they mostly talked about big parrots and used a grey to make references with.

This is not the video they showed us, but I can't find it. I don't think it was on YouTube, but this kind of goes into some of it.

Its good... a few of my contacts have saved
their birds with this method....
Put I'm told you have to be very careful how you do it...
