Well, summer is coming around here in the United States and one thing I love to do during the summer is eat watermelon. In fact, I'm pretty sure the watermelon is the only thing that keeps me from collapsing from dehydration. I now know my purpose for this summer: watermelon carvings.

cute designs. A long time ago I use to carve the melon for parties so that the melon was also used as the serving piece. I made a basket and also a boat. Was fun. Looked cute. Wasted a lot of fruit because I would make the fruit into little balls. Was time consuming but nice. So have fun.

My favorite was the leaves partly concealing the roses. It looked like a rounded rose bush.
