Two days ago my auntie passed away, and even though we all knew it was going to happen soon I am past devastation. She was my mother's identical twin, and like a second mother.
I have been in a state of suspended living these days, just can't find the energy and motivation to do anything more than vegetating.
But I read the forum! I keep up with what you all are doing, even posted something; I am just sorry for not being a great contribution at the moment, but it's a great comfort to read, makes life seem less weird and out of control.
I will surface sooner or later, I always do

Oh, I am sorry about your auntie!
I can absolutely imagine how you feel. My mother's sister was like a second mother to me. In fact, we were much closer than my mother and I were. She is 83 years old and currently suffering from Alzheimer's. She lives in England, and I haven't been able to even have a phone conversation with her in almost a year (because of her illness--she doesn't get the concept of the telephone any more). We used to talk every month or so. We both loved to talk about politics and the news, and our views were very similar. I miss her so much.

That's so sad, Dianne, I am really sorry. Alzheimer is like a nasty witch, takes away the people we know and love.
My auntie would have been 92 the 21st June, she was so fed up with being old and not being strong and able to be independent anymore... that morning she just didn't wake up.

Yes. That's what scares me most. I used to live in an apartment buiding and one of my neighbors was in her nineties. She was actually pretty strong. We were both in third floor walk-ups. When I saw her she would often say, "I don't know why I'm still here." Eventually, she moved in with one of her children and I didn't see her any more.

@Jan, I was wondering the same thing. I realized she said that after she posted that green smiley, so i clicked that emote and the name of it is Mr. Green.

I am guessing that they didn't have any other name of it so they named it mrgreen
