I swear to you guys, my Mr Quail yells "Look at ME!" I have been trying to record it but since he does it at random intervals (provoking a cloud of dust with tiels flying in all directions) it's really difficult catch him in the act.
Do they usually say "Look at me"? It's really quite clear, you don't need a lot of imagination to realise that that's exactly how it sounds.

Wait one sec. Your trying to tel me that your quail talks? That is so cool. And weird. I think it's going to be really hard to get a video unless you record the whole day.

It's not really talking, would be really cool but i'd be lying to you It's more of a yell that sounds like "LOOK AT ME"

It's probably just their natural call. We humans like to take bird calls and sort of translate them into our language. The wild Gambel Quail in my area have a call that people translate as "Chicago" or "Chicago-go". The first sound clip at http://birds.audubon.org/birds/gambels-quail has this call.
The Greater Pewee is funny because people translate the call as the bird singing "Jose Maria" (Spanish for Joseph and Mary). It's the third sound clip at http://birds.audubon.org/birds/greater-pewee (after a couple of introductory notes) and they even say on the site that it's saying Jose Maria.
This Japanese quail video has a call in the first 6 seconds that could be translated as "look at meee".
