Oh of course, I always go with personality, but I selected those 4 just as a safety net. I did hear nothing but good things about pois though. :)

Oh I understand.

I asked because I knew he was your dream bird and I was just trying to give reasons how you can have him. I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable by making you say that. It wasn't my intention. :sorry:

Oh no, I'm alright. That's just the way it is. I think about BCC's daily. It still is a high possibility, but I've never had a parroty parrot before and I want to start with something maybe more mellow than a crazy conure. :)

I've heard quakers described as a mean green biting machine lol. But individual personality counts for a lot - there are biters and non-biters in every species. I once fed pizza crust to a quaker (with the owner's permission) and he didn't bite me at all lol.

I know quakers can be pretty territorial and stubborn, but I know they are probably the loudest out of my selection. I kind of want one simply because they are illegal in California.

You heard right. lol

I had one but only for two days. My aunt accidentally killed her by making her step up (long story).

I recommend getting a young one as the older ones are very aggressive. Quakers often have a single bond with one person. My Quaker chose my cousin over me. I was offended lol

Yeah, he would always brag that she like him over me. I never saw him so interested in my birds in my whole life. Probably because this time he can find a reason why he was better than me. He would walk out the room on purpose just to show me how the Quaker would follow him instead of me.

Very useful, Baruch. IF he is one of the obnoxious cousins: Next time he belittles you because of your love of birds remind him that HE is the bird magnet, that birds follow him because he emits bird hormones (just made something up lol). I would go as far as repeating it in situations where he can be embarrassed but hey that's me, I love to be mean with mean people :cheery: :cheery: :cheery:

They are now established in Italy too. The farmers hate them with a passion lol
My sister had this cherry tree in her allotment, waited and waited until THE day for picking the cherries, it was the first year so she was very excited.
The right day finally arrives and she runs to the allotment, with her basket, and finds the tree completely devoid of cherries.
She asks what happened to the gentleman who looks after the land and he just says You missed the fxxxxxx quakers by a few minutes
