Im purchasing 3 Vision cages...med size about 64.8mm around 25-26 inches in length... I need something to place them on.... not individual stands but one long table of some kind...
I don't want to put a counter top up...
Ive thought of wallpaper paste table... don't know if its strong enough.... also a picnic folding table...
It has to be around 5-6 feet long...
Any idea's please?

Two thoughts come to mind
--a banquet table-they come in varing lengths and are white vinyl or some sort of plastic
--shevings units that you would use in a garage or basement. They can be assembled that they are table height. It's like you set the top part beside the bottom part. Nice because you would have a storage shelf underneath. Of course, its functional, but not attrative. There could be ways to make it more decorative.

Jan, two months ago I bought a bench from IKEA hoping I could put a couple of cages on it.
The bench is actually beautiful, streamlined, problem is my birds don't like the cages too low (they refuse to go to sleep!) so I had to use it for something else.
If your birds aren't picky about height it could be a good solution
http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/90243297/
They have some benches/consoles tthat are higher so maybe more the thing for what you need. They all cost peanuts.

I know you know already... but why buy a Vision? They are a nightmare to clean, birds hate them because they are too shallow.
I have a Vision 2 dismantled and use the pieces for other things like shelves. With the same money on gumtree or ebay you can get a better one.
I know you hate Vision cages so I am surprised!

Anyway back to topic, a wallpaper table will take the weight no problem. I use one myself from Wykes :) It bears two cages, flimsy ones but Vision is even lighter so no problem :)

Thanks Barbara.. never thought of Ikea...
Vision cage, I've never had one... the cages I have tried, I've always found something I didn't like... I really don't think I've ever had the correct cage for my smaller birds... this one is for one of my P'lets... as will be the next 2 if I like this Vision...
As for what to put my cages on, I just realised I have a dinning room table I can use.. Silver moment! again :cheery:
I have to make everything for my birds easier for me, Im have bad bouts of gout, very painful....
(old age doesn't come alone) LOL...

Vision cages are put together with two sets of plastic joints. That leaves some space between panels and I am not sure whether a p'let would be able to squeeze out of them.
There is no tray, so to clean the bottom you have to lift the whole cage and detach it from the base, which is a large plastic basin, basically.
I wouldn't suggest one for anyone who has problems lifting weights.

These are a few examples on Amazon UK. Delivery is free and quick

EDIT I posted a few links but when I try to post I get the dreaded error 404 :(

They were just examples, there are hundreds as large as the Vision and a lot easier to clean and also prettier.

its arrived today will see how it goes...
I've never found the correct cage yet ( Oh yes I've purchased a good few)...
My moving cages and using a table didn't work out
I tried it and an hour later moved it back to how it was.... will rethink the layout!
Off to get my lovely Vision cage put together...
Will update you Barbara! :cheery: :cheery:

Don't discard the wallpapering table : they cost very little and if for some reason it doesn't work as cage table you can always use it in other ways... Or fold it away until a boot sale is needed.... Them tables are the best to sell knick knacks :D
