LOL Mel I am not sure your pet tree would be safe with me... I used to garden a lot when I lived in Italy but since 1997 this is the first time I have a garden and can start again.
My biggest problem is that the names of plants and tools, and gardening terms, are completely unknown to me, so basically I am learning again.
Obviously the climate is so different, so the majority of plants I used then is not possible to grow here... so it's a complete new beginning!

I decided to take off all the lawn, leave only some for the paths and a small patch where to put a table with a couple of chairs.
After extensive research on how to do it I decided that I don't want to do the hard work so I bought a chemical lawn destroyer.
I felt like an assassin when I bought the stuff

Barbara - Go to Mother Earth garden planner. They are very helpful and you can save your plan from year to year. It's interactive. You will input climate, space available and choose plants from drop down boxes. You will get input on when and how to plant.
