Hey, I know some of us are against TC, but remember what I said about a year ago? Well guess what? I am the newest moderator on TC! I know it's really no big deal to most of you since most of us all retreated here, but it made me happy.

That is good news for you and the T.C. sight. I'll bet it will improve things there.

Congratulations on the promotion! I don't know who the moderators are now so I don't know what you're up against. When I was a moderator there, all the mods were basically good people with good intentions but they truly believed it was appropriate to crack down on people over things that weren't actually a problem. I tried to change the culture for a year but couldn't do it so I quit. But it might be a different set of moderators now so maybe you'll have better luck.

Practicality no one. They said they want me to be the primary mod since none of the staff has been on in a long time and I still browse over TC almost every day.

I wonder why the rest of the moderators disappeared - was there a big fight or did they just lose interest? At least it leaves you a clear field to handle things the way you want to without worrying about somebody else going into overkill mode.

I see that they posted an announcement, and that now when I go to the group an announcement about punishment isn't the first thing I see. For a whole year that WAS the first thing I saw, and I was really offended by it. I can imagine what a negative impression it must have made to visitors to the group.

Scrolling through the staff lounge it seems that there was a few rude members who said some mean things to some mods and then it's like it all went south from there. A couple quit but most just got caught up doing things in life and don't have as much time. So really there are only 5 moderators and the administrator. I am on the most out of all of them, so I have to keep it peaceful if something breaks out (luckily it rarely does).

I kinda like the staff lounge. Interesting information. I'm particularly enjoying looking at the members who got infracted.

I can't think of a better person for the job, and hopefully the fact that many mods disappeared will keep it non stressful for you. The stress factor worries me.

Now that you have the power, I have a list of idiots I'd love you to publicly whip. Sigh I know, I know, you won't do it.
