Baruch, I don't feel I have anything to forgive you for. Believe me..I make mistakes too. But that's what they are, mistakes.

I do have a question for you. You might remember that early last summer. Peach dislocated her wing and needed to see her vet several times. Each time it hurt her because her vet needed to move the wing a bit and since then, she has lost a lot of trust in me seeing as I was the one bringing her there. She just recently started stepping up again but she acts like I am trying to hurt her again if I try to give her a head scritch which she used to love. Do you have any idea on how to retrain her to trust me to do that again?

I agree, there's nothing that requires any forgiveness.

Aww. Thank you guys. I sometimes feel as if I ruined my relationships with you guys.

Stephanie, I can totally relate. I didn't even have to touch my birds wings but they are randomly scared of me. I wish I knew what to do but I'm slowly giving up on my relationship with my birds myself.

I'll tell you a secret Baruch: when you stop trying to earn their trust, you see tons more progress. At least that's what I noticed with my budgies.

I actually learned that myself. That's one of the reasons I stopped caring.

So,,do you just take a more casual attitude? Is that what you mean? I am constantly trying to get Peach to let me touch her in one way or the other. Maybe I should just back off a bit.

Emma has always been a very hands-off bird. For a long time now she has come to my forearm to get her treats, but that was it. Last couple of days she's been coming even without a treat, kind of following Silver. I think that's because Piper is out of the picture. Piper felt like part of his job was to keep Emma away from me and away from Silver. Emma has been with me a year now. I have a feeling things are going to get even better between us soon.
