Hi Everyone, I have been busy trying to stay warm here in upstate NY. Temps have been in single digits (low ones) and minus zero a lot this winter. We have had a lot of days down in the double digits -0. i.e -16 a few days ago with wind chill of -50. Everyone's roofs are leaking including ours. Every room in the house. Trying to keep Peach warm. I'm feeding her lots of high fat food and letting her fly all over the house to keep her active and warm. I heard this is the longest sub cold stretch in 200 years. Snow is piled so high I can't see over the banks at the end of our driveway. On a more positive side..it is absolutely beautiful out my windows!

Give her a heat lamp and wrap her cage around in a thick blanket. Maybe even snuggle a little, it will be warm for both her and you!

At least you're able to see out your windows - the snow hasn't covered them up.
I lived in Chicago during a year when they broke the snowfall record and almost broke the record for subzero days. For a long time the only time the temperature crept up above 20 degrees was when it was about to dump another foot of snow on us. It wasn't the most pleasant winter that I ever had.

I've been wrapping a blanket around her cage at night and she has a sun lamp on all day. She seems OK. Actually her room is the warmest room in the house for what it's worth this winter.

Sure! Come over my house. You can sleep in the guest room. Peach can live in the aviary.
