I'm starting to learn how to drive! I had my first lesson today and it was so fun. I was nervous but it's normal. I'm excited. I can get my license this month so I'm practicing with a teacher now.

Hooray! Life is easier and more fun when you can drive.

Woot! :applaud: Good to know you're having fun with it. I'd like to drive too, but... The roads here are scary! My city's not really known for having good drivers.

I drove today too! That's weird. I've driven several times before though, illegally down in the sticks. I don't have my permit yet, so breakin' da rules here.

Thanks guys. :D

You should get your permit, Stephanie. You just take the drug and alcohol test which is extremely easy and then you take the permit test which has 2 parts: road signs and road rules. The road signs are easier. Then you go to the DMV and get your permit. Driving is much more fun when you know that you're not going to get in trouble from the cops if they catch you.

Yay, good for you! Driving is such a good skill to have under your belt, even if you live in an urban area with everything in walking distance.

Stephanie is straight up living the thug life, driving all illegal and whatnot. ;)

Driving rules are primarily made by the state government so the procedure in one state might not be exactly the same as the procedure in a different state. But there will usually be a lot of similarities too.

Here in Tucson we have a lot of senior citizens, university students and Air Force personnel on the streets so there's an interesting mix of driving styles lol. But B lives in southern Florida which is probably a lot scarier. My son lives in Los Angeles and his girlfriend (who is about 30) is afraid to drive in their area.

I didn't choose the thug life, I chose birds.

Birds are hedonistic rule-ignorers. They led you into the thug life.

Driving here in the UK is different too the States...
I drove in Florida, was ok as the speed limit is lower their than over here...
How is it done now?
Can you drive on your won once you get a permit, or do you have to have a driver who has passed the test?
Be interesting to compare over there with here!
here: once you've applied for your learners licence, you can only drive with a person who has held a full licence for 2 years... the theory test is done when ever the person thinks they can pass it, only, when this is passed, can they go onto passing the driving side... many people fail the driving test a good few times...
so B what's your learning, and how is it done in Florida?
