Wow. I didn't know he was truly deaf. It must be hard for the poor guy. Good news is if that he can get any bird he wants without worrying if it's too loud. Well, unless his parents care. Bad news is he won't be able to hear the bird screaming if they are in danger.

 You're funny! It's really not that hard to communicate. Everything we can say through our voices, can be done with your hands, and your facial expressions.

I know a bit of ASL. It's a very neat language. Also, a bit of German.

You have a good chance to teach your friend and observe how he interacts with your birds... while you are staying with him....then maybe will be the time, to make your mind up, about whether, he has your bird or not...

My Burds are here right now in his house. Kiwi, is not mine, he's my brother's. He wants some money, so he says he wants to sell it, and to be honest I feel like I have no choice whatsoever. He also got this round cage from my brother, and he says he wants to buy him from him tomorrow. I've done my best to teach him about them and how to care properly for them, so I believe he's ready. It's sad to see him go, but he's going to be happier with him, and he gets to keep him in his room. Plus, in the future, his mom said they're gonna get a bigger cage and another bird (because I explained to them about the round cages "issue" and that it would be good to keep to birds so they can accompany each other.

'Tis a shame to see kiwi go, but maybe she'll be happy with him. Another option would be to buy her from your brother yourself, but that would break your friend's heart, I think.

Also, you know sign language? I would love to learn sign language, one day. :D The local community college provides classes, so I was considering on taking one there, considering that the second language program at the university I'm going to is horrible, from what I've heard.

Sign language is AMAZING. You can do so much, express yourself in ways you've never thought of. I am trying lo learn American Sign Language, but for now, I only know Mexican sign language. And it wouldn't only help you, it would help the hearing impaired. Deaf people are always greatful when other people learn it and it's amazing to see their faces of impression.

Yeah... Right now, we're going downtown to get a bigger cage. I told him about the problems of the round ones and he wants to get a rectangular and big cage. I'll show a pic when we get it
