Remember my friend? The one that cared for my tiels? Well, he called me and told me if he could buy Kiwi from me.

At first I wanted to say no because he was mine and we had already made a connection. But then, I remembered how he always sent me videos and pictures of him with Kiwi. He looked like he was having a lot of fun and he was taking care of him. So I was considering it.

Also, I've realized that Satchimo has been feeling very lonely. So if I were to sell Kwis, I'd buy another budgie later on. I can't buy anymore birds now because five of them would be "too much" for my parents.

What do you guys think?

It's really up to you to decide. Do you think Kiwi would be happier with you or with your friend? Do you think that you or your friend can take better care of him?

Satchimo has just come to his new home and hasn't had time to get used to it. He will probably seem happier after he's been there for a while.

Well, I don't know. My friend has A LOT of time. And his parents let him keep pets in his room. He can also afford a good cage. Because he is deaf, my mom says it would be great for him to socialize with a pet, and since he already became imprinted on him, it'll be easier for them to get along.

In the other hand, I want to keep him. But I he is insisting so much that I'm unsure of what I should do.

Can you help your friend find another bird that he can keep for himself while you keep Kiwi?

Hmm, I guess I could look for another bird. Kiwi is fighting with everyone right now. And Coco is joining in.

News: my dad decided we should go to another wedding. I have no choice but to leave my birds with my friend for another 4 days. I am so mad right now. I just got here and he's gonna make me leave them with him again. The worst thing is that I just got Satchimo and I can't afford him being grabbed by him or anyone else but me, because I'm the one that's training him. Should I tell him to not grab them at all and just give them food? Or should I let him grab them as he wants?

They are your birds.... its best if your friend does as you ask...
maybe spend a little time with him and your birds together and see how he handles them.... show him how you do it...
Ask him to abide by what you say....
Its a difficult situation for you and him...
Its good to have someone who will look after your birds...
Good luck

It's OK to make different rules for how he can handle different birds. He shouldn't be grabbing them in any case, but politely asking them to step up is OK. If he will handle Satchimo gently and not scare him then IMO it wouldn't be so bad to let him interact. But Satchimo has been through a lot of changes in the last few days and this is yet another change in environment, so it might be better for your friend to not bother him too much.

Thank you. My dad asked me if I wanted to stay with my friend instead of going to the wedding. I obviously said yes. So I'll be at my friend's house for 4 days. I'll teach him how to care for them and how they need to be treated. Thank you and I'm sorry for all my crisscrossing options

Wait, is your friend truly deaf? How do you two communicate?

Sign language :D . That is why I need time to explain him how to care for birds and be responsible with them. I think being here helps
