My dad was a Johnny Cash fan so I grew up listening to his music and I like it. To me he's the epitome of country music. I'm from the Beatles generation myself so my taste runs more to rock, the bold and innovative stuff as well as the more mainstream.

"A Boy Named Sue" is a story song, and it's a great story. But the music is obviously kind of monotonous. Here's a much livelier story song from Charlie Daniels.

Whenever I drive in the car, my mother has the car set to a certain few stations. One is country, but not the kind I like, so no. The other is the modern, current songs they're coming out with, so not really. The other 3 are religious radio stations, so definitely not. The one left is soft rock. So pretty much if the radio is on (which it never really is when I'm driving) I'm driving with soft rock. My mother disapproves.

When I'm in my car there's almost always music playing, and I sing along with it. Loudly. I have a lot of fun when I'm alone in my car.

I don't listen to religious music, but Jesus Christ Superstar is a great rock opera. I hear that religious groups accept it more than they used to, which is kind of disappointing because it was more fun when it was considered blasphemous :D It takes about a minute and a half for Judas' opening number to settle into the main melody.

By the sound of things Caro and I do like a lot of the same noises...

If you're going country, here's some more Belgians:

You're so fun! I like music playing in the car. I don't sing though, mainly because I don't care a license, which means I can only drive with a 21-year-old with a license.

When I'm in the car it's eigher a CD or a radio station called Studio Brussel .

I hope the link to their live feed works: http://radioplus.be/# If not let me know... I'll try and sort it out.

It's a good station, but depending on the time of day can get a bit boring sometimes (I dislike most of the weekend where it's more techno orientated)

Belgian bluegrass is certainly an unexpected turn of events, but unfortunately I can't watch it. It says the uploader has not made the video available in my country. First time I've ever seen a message like that.

The radio feed worked, but there was a lot of talking and commercials going on. In Dutch (I think). So I gave up.

B, you need to get a real license so you can sing in your car!

Since those of us on the wrong side of the Atlantic can't listen to Belgian bluegrass, here's an American bluegrass band. The only reason I'm posting it here is because the banjo player is my cousin. But this is just a hobby, he's actually a consultant to NASA. For real. This video is on Facebook so it won't play right here in the thread, and you'll have to be logged in to see it: https://www.facebook.com/DevilsBackbone ... 33/?type=1
