My rose of sharon is blooming beautifully, my hydrangea isn't. I have some nice black eyed susans.

I have to take my Roger cat to the vet at 2:30. He has a bad sore under his chin. I first noticed it Friday night and it has gotten worse. I wonder how this happened. He is healthy and active otherwise, so I am hoping it is not serious.

Our hydrangea's are full of leaves but no flowers...
Be good if we had some Sun, it's done nothing
but rain here...
Going to be a very long winter....

The vet thinks Roger may have a seasonal allergy. She prescribed antihistamines and antibiotics for two weeks, just in case it is infected. She said it really didn't look like any kind of tumor, so that was a BIG relief.

When I got back from the Vet I fed Roger. His sister was in the bedroom and did not come out to eat. She spent the rest of the day in there. When Roger wanted dinner, I went into the bedroom and called her. She followed me out to the kitchen, but wouldn't come over to be fed. I put her food up on a chair, and she ate some but then slunk back into the bedroom.

I suddenly realized that the problem was the Roger probably smelled very different, from having to be at the vet's. Being a more submissive cat, Adele was afraid to come out, because she thought there was a strange cat in the house.

Do you think I am right?

It seems very likely that the smell put her off.

The weather is cooler than usual here, meaning that it's less than 100 degrees lol. That's fine with me.
