Move to Hawaii. They don't do it either.

I usually don't bother to turn my nightstand clock back for wintertime... It drives my wife crazy! Specially since last week we had a powerfallout (shortcircuit in a machine) so I did change it now!

I had a friend once who was too lazy to reset his clock after a power failure, so for months it was off by something like 2 hours and 17 minutes. He got used to it that way, so when daylight savings time came along he reset the clock so it was still off by 2 hours and 17 minutes. He was kinda crazy.

My personal preference would be no DST. I hear about school children having to go to school in the dark. Well, start the schools and the workplaces an hour later.

I would be pro nature as a clock. Get up when the sun does, work less in the winter, and more in the summer...

It would kinda suck if you live up north like in Norway ;-)

I heard they (Norway) have a great work system that allows families so spend more time with each others. Like work day ends at 3, longer vacations, sick leaves, and so on. Here in US it's crazy. Long ago, I did persuasive speech, and my topic was "US needs longer, paid maternity leave." Everybody laughed at me, and professor was the first who started laughing and criticizing (do we need to promote number of children born? he said, Heck, no!) who cares that people who contribute to the population growth are often those who don't work at all and live on Welfare, etc.

I heard a program on NPR today that described a survey of various countries. It sounded like a reputable survey. Norway was the happiest. The US ranked 16th. Norwegians cited universal access to health care, a clean and beautiful environment and support for parents with generous time off.

Yep, as far as rolemodels go for countries... Scandinavia is usually in the top 3!

Maybe I should move there ;-) :excited001:

I would have to ask for a permit, but yes. I don't see why I couldn't move there if I so wished.
