There's really only one rule here: let's all have fun and play nice, and have a pleasant atmosphere where we can learn from each other. That implies a lot, including but not limited to:

No flaming, insults, bigotry, trolling, spamming, controversial non-bird topics like politics and religion, porn, or advertising anything (including competing forums). No cussing/swearing please; occasional minor violations aren't a problem but we don't want the forum to turn into Ozzy Osbourne land.

Please start threads in the appropriate subforum, and please write in standard English with a reasonable amount of punctuation and a font that doesn't make the reader's eyeballs bleed. You'll get more replies if your post is easy to read!

Members who join the forum but never post may have their account deleted. This helps to keep hackers, spammers, and scammers off the board.

Some forums have a Like button. Some have a Thanks button, or a Karma button. We have a Happy Chirps button, which covers all those sentiments and more (like ‘congratulations’ for example). If a post makes you happy in some way, chirp at it!

The Happy Chirps button is a little blue budgie located in the bottom right corner of other peoples’ posts. You won’t see the button on your own posts because the system doesn't let you chirp at yourself. You also won't see it on posts that you have already given happy chirps, because you can only chirp at a post once.
