If you look at the top of the page in the bottom right corner of the logo, you'll see a button that says "User Control Panel". Clicking on that will take you to your profile and personal settings. If you have trouble figuring something out once you get in there, just let me know and I'll guide you through it.

Welcome to the group! From now on your posts should hit the board immediately without having to wait for approval. If we didn't make the first few posts wait for approval we'd be overrun with spammers.

Are you going for a signature picture or for an avatar? Because I can see code for a non-functional picture in the signature area.

Avatars are small (maximum size 120x120 pixels) and you can upload one directly onto the forum from your computer and it will be saved in your profile. Signatures can be bigger but you can't upload a picture that's just stored on your computer - they have to actually be online somewhere, and you post the address of the link inside the [img] tags. Lots of people use Photobucket for putting photos online. http://s76.photobucket.com/

As an example, I'm going to post the coding for my signature here with an intentional mistake in it so the picture won't display and you can see what the coding looks like (more or less - the question mark should actually be a bracket) :

Here's what to do. Have your avatar picture stored on your computer. It has to be no bigger than 120x120 pixels and 6KB.

You go to your user control panel and click Profile, then Edit Avatar.

On the line that says "Upload from your machine" you click Browse. This brings up Windows Explorer (if you have an Apple computer instead of Windows I have no idea what will happen, but it will probably be easy to figure out). You navigate to the place where your picture is stored, click on the file name, and click Open at the bottom of the screen. This should put the file name in the box on the control panel. Then you click Submit and it should upload.

yeah I tried that but how do I check the KB and is max. 120x120 pixels and the URL title and the link. Tried it again and the pix is always larger than 120x120 pixels

Anyway I got that upload from your machine down I got the file name down then there that's all I know and SUBMIT but the photo is never the right size.
