It's been a while since I've tried posting that video. I posted a different video of the same bird, successfully. Allow me to test it again, before you say anything to phbb.

It's ok. This issue of innocent words being censored has been going on for a while. I'm just going to ask if there is a way for it to be fixed. They have a whole support forum just for problems like this that users ask how to fix. Sometimes there isn't a solution but it won't hurt to ask. I just need to know what version this forum is running on.

Ah, ok.

Well, it's still not working. Still gives me the 403 error. I don't understand why it's that specific video that it's preventing me from making a thread for. I've posted another video from the same channel, and it was successful. What does the server have against a cute little parrot telling it's owner to "smile"?

So if you want to mention that, then you can. Not sure if it's really the words, because I've used quite a few of the same words in the thread of the other video. Maybe it's the youtube link?

Hmm. Maybe it isn't the words. I'm really not sure but I'm going to show them that 404 error message and see if that helps narrow the problem down.

I looked into this a while back and it's not phpbb. It's something in the server. It looks like it would take several hours to figure out how to fix it, and so far it hasn't been a big enough problem to make it worthwhile spending that much time on it. It would only be a partial fix anyway - every time it refused to accept something we'd have to figure out which specific word was being rejected, then go in and tell it to allow that word.

I'm not sure what the problem is when it comes to videos since this is the only time it has refused to accept one. I do know that videos can be configured so they don't display normally when they're posted in a forum, but it's a different type of failure to display. The owner of this bird apparently doesn't do this habitually since another one of their videos displayed with no problem, but maybe something accidentally got coded into this one.

I was never one able to handle the more technical stuff with phbb's system, in the website I admin for. I'm not really that experienced with that kind of stuff, aside from eliminating spam bots and banning their IPs (but that's really not hard to do).

Maybe someone else could try and post the video, to see if it works for them? It could just be that it doesn't want ME to post it, for whatever reason. Maybe it doesn't like my laptop?

Here's the direct link for the video, if anyone wants to try.

I never admin or mod phpbb forums but I do admin proboards. I considered myself pretty good with technical stuff but proboards is very simple to use. I think phpbb is more advanced. I saw some videos on YouTube of how to use it.

Yes B, you are waaaayyy better at technical stuff than I am. I'm better with animals and plants rather than cell phones and computers.

I'm pretty good with plants and animals as well. I'm not good at parrot training though. That's my nightmare. I'm not good at training. The main reason I'm not good at it is because I can't communicate with them. Positive and negative reinforcement is pretty difficult to train for me. I don't really think it's working when it is and I lose hope.

Working with animals requires nonverbal communication and I'm a very verbal person. I'm not nearly as good at the nonverbal stuff lol.
