I own 2 budgies, 1 definite female Tigerlily about 8-9 months old, she is a common American budgie(Green) I also have an energetic girl, her name is Pickle as I thought she was a boy when i got her, she is now about 8 months old. She is an American green and yellow pied. Tigerlily loves peace and quiet but Pickle loves exploring and playing. They live in an aviary with 2 other budgies, also both females. they are violet budgies aged 8-9 months that have not been named. (My brother owns them) We have had all of them for 5 months now.

I don't have any budgies now, but I used to have them about a million years ago when I was a kid. They're great little birds! I'd kind of like to have one right now, but I'm worried that either the cockatiels would gang up on the budgie or the budgie would terrorize the tiels.

I have 14 budgies... But looking to rehome them all...
They're all over the place where colours are concerned, although I tried to go towards dark eyed clear... (black eyes and yellow feathers)

I have 2 budgies. My male budgie, Piper, is yellow and green pied. The female is pure white. They live with two cockatiels.

Piper was my first bird. He is now 4 years old. He is a great bird. He is very self confident and loves to interact with the other birds and to dance and sing. He is not much into being with me, though. Winter, the female budgie, doesn't have any idea of what a finger is for. But she knows what "Inside!" means and will comply.

The bird that I am closest to is my male cockatiel, Silver. But in many ways, Piper is the most interesting and entertaining bird.

I think it is good for the cockatiels to be with the budgies. I find the cockatiels to be pretty laid back and quiet. Piper will get them moving from time to time. As my mother used to say to me, "Why don't you go out and play with your friends?" Or, "Eat your oatmeal. It's Good for You!"

You are 1 million?! Cockatiels and budgies become good friends usually. How many cockatiels do you have?

I currently have 14 adult cockatiels and a princess parrot. Plus 6 of this year's babies who will be going to new homes by the end of the year.
