February is the month for Valentine's Day and lovey-dovey themes. But this is March, so let's make it the opposite of all that! The theme for the March photo contest is Angry Birds. Each person can enter up to 5 photos. Contest runs through March 25.

Beck dares you to laugh at his ever-changing cere. He's out of focus, but he was giving me the death stare.

Beck has a very cute death stare. Vlad on the other hand...
Seriously. He was foster parenting a couple of babies at the time, and he was making plans to rip my hand off if I put it in the cage.
Vlad is my #1 source of angry bird photos.

Now THAT is an angry bird!
Of course Baruch can probably beat us all just by lifting up the nestbox lid and sticking the camera inside. I hear that Miss Marshmallow gets VERY angry about nestbox intrusions.

oh no... I was planning to leave them alone until the piping of the first egg. ah who cares! ill do it anyway. Bio gets really feisty when he is in the nest! if I would open it, he would hiss and jump out of the nest box and would perch on top of it and dare me to touch him. then while my hand is still opening the box, Marshmallow would get in her crazy attack mode and teach me a lesson of how to never touch the box again!
I'll get a photo of Bio trying to rip my fingers off, another photo of them attacking the nest, and one of Marshmallow slowly walking towards me with her wings spread out wind.

You don't have to risk your life if you don't want to lol. More importantly, you don't need to disrupt their breeding efforts. But it's beneficial if you can help them get used to you checking on the nest.

I was about to do it but I felt bad. I just got a few photos of Bio trying to bite me. its very hard to get a clear photo of Marshmallow jumping because she is too fast.
I actually let Marshmallow bite the back of my hand today. it was the first time she ever tried to bite me.
I also candled the eggs again today and it looks like they all have chicks inside of them. I cant even see what's happening in egg#1 besides for an air cell and a few veins next to the air cell.
