It's not my fault that he's a male princess. :roffle:

There will probably be some princess parrots at the October bird mart. Dweezil's breeder is in California and doesn't come to the small summer bird mart, but he comes to the bigger ones.

Hm. Maybe I should look into that. I did just get $200 from watching someone's dog :) (I would imagine that they would be a lot more, though). Lol but like I said before, we'll see what I may or may not end up with.

The bird club paid $275 for Dweezil. It's possible that he may have given us a small discount that he wouldn't give to just anyone, but I think the price in general was about $300 for the normal color. He had some mutations too (blue and white) but I don't know how much they were. Probably more than the normal.

Princess parrots are generally considered to be more of an aviary bird than a pet, but I think Dweezil has great pet quality. He was handfed and I'm sure that helps.

There are lots of other beautiful species at the fall bird mart too.

Ah, sorry Erik. That was directed towards Carolyn.

Along with every other bird I'm considering, I'm also wondering if I can find a Meyers parrot, possibly as friendly as the one I saw at the summer bird mart. I remember he was about $300, and since I have that amount now, then I could either be able to afford one, or not be able to (depends on who's selling, and at what price).

I'll enjoy seeing all the species of birds there, nonetheless, of course. :)

I don't remember offhand whether anybody sells Myers parrots at the bird mart, But if there was one at the summer bird mart it's likely that there'll be some at the fall bird mart. The fall bird mart usually has more species than the summer one.

Tonight I updated the bird club website at http://www.astbirdclub.org/expos.html to add more bird mart pictures. While I was at it I found this one. Rosellas on top of the middle column; Princess under them; looks like IRNs below that, and Amazons on the bottom. Plus assorted other species in the side columns.

That's a beautiful bird!!

But are you sure that it won't be fighting with lucy? Those birds look like they could do some serious damage to a cockatiel.

I am not positive they would get along, which is why I would have to buy a separate cage. With how thin the bars are on Lucy's cage, I think a meyers could tear his way out of it if he tried hard enough, anyways. With a bigger beak, comes more strength, after all.

Wow, there really ARE a lot of bird species at the fall expo.

But what the heck are these? Toucans? Are they even legal, here??

I mean, I know they are in other parts of the country, but I didn't think Arizona would be one of them.
