I didn't mean to abuse my birds. I changed. I'm serious. My birds have a variety on seeds, pellets, and veggies. They are given a lot of attention daily. They have a big home outdoors. They get lots of exersize and sunlight daily. I'm not putting them in those small cages anymore. They will live in that aviary all year round. Their cages get cleaned weekly. I give it a good scrub everywhere. They get baths ones a week when is cleaning day. I don't abuse them. I even changed the whole aviary. If there's anything I'm doing that is still considering abusing please let me know so I'll change it. Maybe the only thing I do to abuse them is not bringing them to vets but that's not considered abusing. Maybe you might consider it abusing but I don't because that is not in my control. I forgot to mention that I hrow fresh herbs that I feed them. I grow millet, sunflowers, safflowers, and chia. It's not my fault that I can't take them to vets. It's my parents choice at the end no matter how much I beg. I'm sorry if I abused them before. I changed. :(

When you got someone who has abused their birds, even inadvertently, giving suggestions on training, that's really too much to stomach.

I'm sorry Barbara but I really couldn't handle this part of your post. It knocked me down 6 feet under grown. I feel SOOOOOOOO bad. Is this what people think of me as??? An ABUSER?!?!! This has to be the last thing I needed to hear. I have been feeling sad and guilty already. This is the LAST thing I wanted to hear. I don't even want to say how I feel right now but I just want to let you guys know that I wont be on any social place online for a good while until they know I don't exist. I PM'd Roxy telling her to delete my account. I deleted that thread I made on TC.

Let's all take it easy until we find out for sure what Barbara meant. I thought she was talking about someone on TC not someone here. But I rarely go to TC so I don't know what's happening there.

I thought Barbara was speaking about another person as well. There has been no evidence that you have hurt your birds in any way. And we know you wouldn't because you are kind with a good heart.

I think she was just using it as an example on why TC is taking a turn down the crapper... for some that is.

I still go on, but that's just me.

Omg no Baruch I did NOT mean you!!!
Mine was a comment about how depressing is to see some people in TC, who have done wrong to their birds, giving suggestions on how to treat or feed or educate our birds. I don't want to put names here, but ABSOLUTELY I didn't mean either you or anyone else who is also in this forum.
I am sorry that my comment caused you anguish, Baruch, but you know that I respect you and would never write something like that about you!

That's exactly what I meant.

I don't have any words that will explain how sorry I am. I thought you meant me. I hope you can forgive me. I feel bad now since I made total destruction for all the forums I was in. I left this one (I came back). I left TC. Renae thought that it was TC's fault so she was about to make a thread about it. I explained her everything. I am an active member on Talk Parrots now. It's just so sad how one misunderstanding can ruin everything. And take it all away in a few minutes. I don't even know how I can remake the damage I created. I'll have to slowly rebuild myself. It's okay Barbara. It was my misunderstanding.

Oh, Baruch.
I am so sorry you are feeling bad. There is no reason I can see for any permanent damage. My guess is you were feeling a little depressed, and that may be why you thought it was about you. When we are feeling depressed it distorts our sense of self and leads us to interpret things negatively that are not personal. I speak from personal experience. It's not your fault.

I don't think you've done any damage on this forum. No one seems to be upset, and we know that you have a struggle with mood swings and family complications. But that situation is slowly moving in the direction of getting some effective help and hopefully everything will smooth out soon.

I don't know whether you've done any damage on TC. It sounds like the action there was behind the scenes and no one knows about it but the admins. I know they can be too harsh sometimes, but they can also be sympathetic sometimes. If you want to go back there you'll need to use your own judgment about the best way to do it.

There are lots of cockatiel groups on Facebook now if you'd like to start over with a new group. I know you don't like Facebook, but if you don't use your real name it will be as anonymous as any other forum. I think Facebook sucks myself lol but it's where most of the cockatiel action is so I'm on it.
