My brother often comes and stays with me for a day or two over the weekend. He is able to whistle (I can't).
Silver knows a couple of songs: The Adams Family and The Andy Griffith Theme. When my brother comes over, he whistles them for Silver.
My brother hadn't been over in about three weeks this time. He came here Friday night after the birds were in bed. Saturday morning, when we all got up, Silver went over to where my brother was sitting and started whistling both tunes for him. He hadn't been whistling much at all over the last week or two. It really seemed like Silver was very excited to see my brother, remembered that he whistles, and wanted to relate to him by whistling. It was really quite amazing to watch this.
Fortunately, my brother is pretty interested in my birds and thinks they are very cute. So, that's something we share.

Yes. Wayne said it was like Silver really wanted to impress him. He won't get on Wayne's finger, though.

That is so cool! I love stories about animals that show how truly intelligent they are.

Sam is like that with Paul. During the day Paul sleeps so Sam rides on my head all the time, and every time we pass near Paul's room door he will Wolf whistle, make the phone ringing noise, everything to try and wake Paul up lol. Then when he wakes up, Sam will go after him and whistle all his songs while they share toast. I find really touching how much Sam loves Paul, he accepts me as the provider but his heart is definitely taken. I confess I am a bit jealous! It looks like your brother is a very important figure for Silver!
