talking about safe ceramic non-stick frying pans. What exactly should it say?
the most common would say PFOA- and PTFE free but others would also mention to be cadmium and lead free. Are the first two enough?

PFOA and PTFE seem to be the main issue, I don't see any sites even talking about the others. Lead and cadmium would be more hazardous to humans than to birds, since they'd leach into the food that was being cooked in the pan but shouldn't be an air-quality hazard. So I would certainly hope that cookware doesn't contain them in significant quantities.

Just use ordinary cook wear... by far the safest

I have changed to cast iron frying pans. It took a little time to get the hang of seasoning them. However, I am now happy with them.

My brother bought an expensive set of nonstick cookware a couple of years ago. He is very disappointed in how the nonstick finish has deteriorated since the purchase.

That's why I buy not expensive stuff. Yes I heard good things about iron cast but that's something to try in the future

Cast iron is heavy for me. I only use it for frying pans, where nonstick is really important. For my other cooking needs, I use farberware stainless steel with aluminum bottoms. I don't have a problem with sticking in saucepans. I have had my farberware for more than 25 years, and it's still in good condition. I am careful about keeping the heat low. I have never understood the importance of nonstick coating on saucepans. Others may disagree.

good for you :) I sometimes manage to burn even stainless steel. yes, majority of my pots are stainless steel. I just need one piece of cookware for stuff like eggs or pancakes.
