I had a few crazy days when I was away from home a lot, my husband was watching the birds. Trillie has a wound on his cere, basically on one of his nostrils, I assume he ran into something while flying (he injures that area pretty often but it always heals by itself) It looks much better today, almost healed, he eats all right, but I noticed yesterday and today that he is closing only one if his eyes while sitting quietly. No, he is not more quiet than usually, he is not a crazy bird at all, he likes to sit doing nothing a lot. His behavior is as usual, except for closing one eye only. IS it a sign of a serious illness?

thank you Carolyn. I thought his wound was healing, I was spraying them with water today (they love it and we haven't done quite awhile). I sprayed Trillie too, and then I saw that his wound didn't look so good. He sits like he doesn't feel very well. What over the counter medicine can I try? Neosporin creme?

I think it looked bad because it got all wet. It looks better again but I am keeping an eye on Trillie

thanks! I think his behavior is pretty normal: preening, yelling for Cuddles, fighting for sleeping spot before bed time, etc. I think he is healing all right.
