The story goes like this:
I have two tiels, she's 9 months and the boy I don't know, but it molting, so I guess is younger than her.
In another post, I asked what she was doing in a video, I was told she was starting seeking the male company...
Even do, I wasn't planning on breeding them, since I think they are not bonded, my hubby want it to, I finally convinced him that she could die, because she's not mature, and all the other stuff
Also, I'm not sure if it will do any good to the male at the molting stage.

The question is,
Should I separate them?

They are all day out and about, I put them to sleep around 8, cover, and uncover them around 5-5:30 everyday

If I separated them, should they be in caged all day?

He goes everywhere she goes, she's the leader of the two, if she eats somethings he will try it too.

I'm lost here!

Help!!

It sounds like there isn't any mating behavior going on so there isn't really a problem and you can continue to let them play together. If they do start getting sexual with each other, then hormone control might be a better technique than separating them. If the hormones are running high it's possible for your girl to lay eggs even if they haven't mated. Keeping the birds separate will eliminate the risk of actually having babies hatch out of the eggs, but the risks that go along with egg laying will still be there. Here's some info on hormone control: http://www.littlefeatheredbuddies.com/i ... mones.html

Heart wings is courtship behavior, but they're not having sex so there's not any risk of babies just yet. But things could progress, since both of them seem to be getting in the mood.

Is it because they're asleep now?

Yes

I apologized....didn't mean to alarm anybody

It's just that just before put them to sleep they are very active, today, just very silent, kind of weird
