You don't have to answer this if you don't want to. But how are you doing, Stephanie?

I'm doing okay I guess. I had Jaid out with me today. He's been very needy today. I took him out in the travel cage again and wheeled the big cage out. I took everything out of the big one and cleaned all the blood splatter off of it. And I cleaned all the blood off the perches in there too, so Jaid has a fresh, clean start. When I brought him back in and fixed the cage up, I had Jaid out with me. He was extremely clingy and he sat on my belly. The whole time he was out he just preened and stayed close to me.

I made this video memorial for Beaker. It's not that good or anything, but I suppose I might as well do something constructive instead of crying. I've never done something like this before, so I doubt it's any good. I named Beaker 'Beaker' for two reasons, he chewed everything the day I got him, and honestly because I like science, so I thought 'The Scientist' was fitting. Pardon the ad in there, YouTube throws that in if you use certain music.

This video made me tear up. I love this so much! He had such a happy life with you.

He had so much personality! He had a happy life with you (as B said) but you also had a happy life with him. Unfortunately we can't keep our pets forever and sometimes we lose them much sooner than we expected to, but it was beautiful while it lasted and you'll always carry that joy in your heart. I love it that you put the "pop out at Jaid" clip in the video. I was thinking about that one last night and how funny it was.

I have been thinking so much about Beaker today. Every time I look at Silver I think about poor Beaker.

We have souls in our lives that we cherish so much, and it is so awful when something like this happens to one of them. It's hard enough when it is a natural death. I feel so very sad about what happened. If there was something I could do to ease your pain, I would want to.

I still didn't have the heart to watch the video, I know it will make me cry and cry. But I will soon. I daydream of conversations between Beaker and Keith, they must have met by now, bitching about us and walking around busting all the other birds' balls. As Dianne said so beautifully, we have special souls in our lives, I like to think that they never completely leave us, like little naughty angels.

I am so sorry I am reading this so late.
I don't know what to say, just NO...
I am so sorry Stephanie. Let dear Beaker Rest in Peace.
It is so very hard to believe. I didn't know there is a possibility for raccoons to be hunting inside the houses. They are true evils.
My deepest sympathy goes your way Steph.
Fly free dear Beaker. We love you too.
