I've not really bothered with my breeding this year, especially where the budgies are concerned (I usually have a few clutches off each pair per year and I have a fair few pairs!). I've bred from 2 pairs only, just because the parents wouldn't stop having a good time

The first clutch is now all grown up and have gone to their new homes. Chick 1 went to a family who have bought him for their son. They visited a few times and fell in love with him. I got to tell their son that they could take him home on the last visit and he burst into tears. It was so lovely! Their daughter, who I know from school, chose chick 2 for herself as a companion from a budgie she had off me a few years ago. Chick 3 is staying with me because I am in love with the mutation! Chick 4 went to another family member of the family who took 1 & 2 Word of mouth can be a wonderful thing. Chicks are in photo order









I took some cute photos of the tiels too. You can tell them apart easily. The oldest has a full and thick crest whereas the younger baby has a long thin and pointy crest. The oldest is also soppy and gentle whereas the youngest is more ornery. They have left the nest and they're just learning to fly. I saw the younger chick feeding herself today















I've also not long hatched (2 weeks ago) another gorgeous pair of budgies. I'm really tempted to keep the younger chick but you can't keep them all. I will see!





I still really need a couple of names for the cockatiels!
