My flock loves "Food should taste good" Multigrain crackers. They are not cheap, I always try to get them on sale or clearance. Found a good price but they were out of Multigrain variety. Out of what they had, I picked "blue corn" variety thinking it would be the closest to multigrain by taste (compared to Olive, cheddar cheese and guacamole flavors).
Brought it home and opening the bag. They know the sound and all anticipating! Now serving in a special dish where only crackers are served. They all fly towards it... see dark purple color and freaking out! (multigrain are yellow)
They still haven't touched them, the second day now.
Silly birds!

Maybe if they see you eating the crackers they'll be more interested!

Hi, Chipper.
I am sure you know that the guacomole flavor would not be good. I think I read avocado is toxic to birds. I know you are not using the guacomole flavor right now, but just in case. Regards.

thank you Diane
NO guacamole here! right now, they eat sweet potato variety but usually we stick to a regular multigrain

I have recently heard lots of noise over turkey oven cooking bags to be to toxic to birds.

I haven't heard the whole story on that, but I've heard that the bag was used wrong and that's what caused the problem. They burned it or something, but it would have been OK if they used it right.

the story I read on FB doesn't say that they misused oven bags.

Some oven bags contain Teflon. I didn't know before I read this thread and the bad news about those poor birds.
I wish there was a way to know if they contain Teflon or not?
https://www.alibaba.com/showroom/teflon-oven-bag.html
This is in China, but I think there are companies that might buy their bags from there because they are cheap?
I have never used these transparent bags in the oven, but occasionally I buy frozen products that are in containers that are to be put in the oven, but I never had problems with my baby.
