Yooooooooo. First of all, happy Christmas and other holidays. I got my boys some foraging toys for presents this year. Mostly for Danny, but Jaid can use them too. I was going to give them to him on Christmas evening, but duty calls and I had to leave that night. I told him I'll give them to him the next day. He saw me putting on my jacket to leave and had a serious concern he had to tell me then and there:

Danny: Stephanie.
Danny: Stephanie.
Me: I'll give you your toys tomorrow alright?
Danny: Okay.

I still have no clue how he learned my full name, but considering he can hold short, contextualized conversations is still baffling to me.

That's awesome !! I didn't get mine anything...

In fact I cut down on the amount of birds I'm keeping... (all for the beekeeping project)

That's really cool! He may or may not understand that that's your name, but he does understand that it's a way to get your attention. He's probably seen how you react when other family members say your name.

But what's really odd is my family never uses my full name. It's either Steph or Lou, and he never refers to me by those. That's why I'm so confused as to how he learned my full name.

He probably knows how to read. He goes thru your ID's and credit cards while you can't see. maybe he even reads this forum. It's cool to have a smart bird.

Just make sure he isn't using your credit cards to order millet spray on the internet.

Well, millet is too small for him. He's a chunky bird about the size of a grey, but I'm pretty sure he can't read. I remember I bought him several toys for amazons/greys and he solved them in an afternoon. Can't tell if he read the instructions on operation for them or if he really is that crafty.
