I see the forum got some activity! I never left. I found myself checking back every week-two weeks, so seeing some action made me happy! I’m still birdless though, and...about that.

Just wanted to give an update. But before, let me back track.

I gave cheerio, my peach faced lovebird to one of my employees who has some birds in an outdoor aviary. She was thrilled! I gave her my cage, toys, food...everything, so she kept him indoors.

2 weeks later I find out he died. I don’t know why/how until this day. She didn’t even cook that day! Nor did she clean. I asked her if maybe she used a chemical...nothing. They have a little dog, but the dog is a Maltese and didn’t touch the bird. She said the bird was dead when she uncovered the cage.

it’s sad news, but just felt like sharing.

Hope everyone is well! I’m been putting all of my “nurturing” skills to my reef tank, and my dragon fruit cacti.

Sorry to hear about Cheerio. If she kept him outdoors, it's possible that he was exposed to some wild-bird germs that he wasn't used to, and that's why he died.
