He is here! :D
I told you already that he is quite miserable so you won't be surprised to see how he looks in these pics. He sits on a perch like the Hunchback of Notre Dame... seems fed up with the entire world, and defeated. He doesn't move much, been testing a couple of perches, preened himself a little bit, but completely ignored the ladders and the toys, which isn't surprising since he didn't have any toys in his original environment.

Bad pictures with all the bars in view, I am sorry, but I am not letting him out for a couple of days; I will take better ones once he's out.

His feathers are in a pretty bad state, but the vet says that his overall health is good so the plumage will probably improve with a good diet.

He really hates the camera!

He's got beautiful eyes, always following your every move...

I am uploading a short video of him making the weirdest noise I ever heard a bird emit... it's like an asthmatic growl. I thought he was sick but then he stopped as soon as I put the camera away. Will post it as soon as it's done.

He caught a glimpse of himself in the metal feeding bowl and he's been trying to make friends with it for a while, made me feel so bad for him :(
We might get a friend for him in a few weeks, depending on how he's settling.

So what you think? Doesn't he look adorable in his own scruffy gargoyley way? :)

Whoohoo!! He is really adorable!

Ouch! That growl is pretty freaky. I wonder what will happen if you went any closer...ain't gonna be pretty.

Congrats again, I know he will thrive well in your care.

You know, the weirdest thing is that he is ok if I put my hand in the cage. I moved the bowls around while he was inside and he was wary of course but he didn't lunge! Th camera must remind him of something that scared him in the past, I am trying to guess what that can be.
I have been told that the only moment when he's really upset and bites is when he's outside the cage and feels cornered. I need a pair of VERY THICK gloves... that beak is huge

He's adorable, in a gruff-looking way. Some of those sounds are probably a Sennie warning call, but some of them remind of this lyrebird imitating a camera with a motor drive: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJmQAY4yORU You had a camera in your hand - maybe he's imitating the previous owner's camera? Some parrots are VERY good at imitating electronic and mechanical sounds.

Well I think he looks majestic. What's his name? I like when I get to name things.

Since he has a profile worthy of figuring on a coin, I guess he does look majestic! So his name will be His Majesty King Patrick :D
