but mutation means something that changed from its original, that's why I thought that calling it mutation is not the right word in terms of language.

Personally, I don't consider normal grey to be a mutation; it's the wildtype coloration and the other colors are mutations of the wildtype genes. But when I'm talking about color, it's often easier to call it a mutation than to do linguistic backflips trying to avoid this word. Most of the time, the question of whether it should or should not be called a mutation simply isn't relevant because it doesn't make any difference to the subject we're really talking about.

I the only time I saw a normal grey at that place was when they were selling a young, bonded pair. I assume when they grow up, they would be breeders, they were so precious, but I didn't want a breeder pair.
