I thought my birds were normal greys because they have dark eyes. :)

Dark eyes indicate that they're not lutino, fallow, or recessive silver, and maybe not cinnamon (eye color is variable in cinnamon newborns). But a dark-eyed baby could be just about anything else, because many mutations don't affect the eye color.

Normal greys are still pretty common, and it's the default color when a bird doesn't have a visual mutation for something else. All of Buster and Shodu's sons are normal grey.

His legs look OK to me. But what black feet he has!

Baby birds are going to have their legs in an odd position fairly often, but as long as they're in a normal position at least part of the time it's a good indication that they're developing normally.

Their feet are very black.
He only looks like that when he is on a hard, flat surface. He looks OK in the nest, so that's good :)

Wow it's true I see now, very dark feet! Baruch, if they are greys and grow up with black feet they will be beauties!
Of all my greys, past and present, the only one with black feet is Bubu. He also has pigeon toes so the effect is ruined lol
But black feet are incredibly beautiful, and not very common anymore.

Black feet seem to be most common in normal grey birds with no splits. So it's kind of surprising that Baruch's babies have dark feet, since they definitely have some splits.
