I love to shower with my birds! At first, I had to go in with my underwear because I felt shy since I was showering with Marshmallow (a female) but I got over it. Please don't give your chick showers until he grows feathers everywhere, including under his wings. Have fun! I take the perch I made for the inside the shower so that they can perch while they take a bath. Thru never do the bath dance, but they like to get soaked and drink the water.

Showering with birds is fine, and you can even buy shower perches with suction cups to stick them to the wall: http://smile.amazon.com/Pollys-Sandy-Wi ... 0040Q85L6/But don't take the baby in just yet. Wait at least until it has fledged and learned some basic "out of the nest" skills. It would probably be a good idea to wait a lot longer than that, actually. Babies are very flighty and take off just for the fun of it, plus they do NOT like showers at first. Teach them the joys of bathing by spraying mist on them while they're in a cage and can't get away lol, because they WILL try to flee until they figure out that this is actually fun, and that takes a while.

Would you take your oldest chick with you? My oldest is 1 day younger then your oldest.........Carolyn already answered that question but I just wanted to say that your oldest babies are the same age as my 3rd chick!!! They are twins...not really but it's still very cool that they hatched on the same day. Do you know whether (s)he is a male or a female?

Since both of my mother and father are normal grey, I have determined that the oldest is a girl, because of the light grey tone of the feathers. The other one doesn't have any feathers yet, so well have to see. Is this an accurate way of telling with greys?

No really. since they are both normal greys, you'll just have to wait until (s)he passed her first molt.
You can look at his behavior, beak banging, whistling, and heart wings are all male traits.
