Hello
I have a male Lutino Lovebird, and he's very sweet and I play with him a lot, and I've had him for a while now and although he seems very healthy and happy he hasn't played with one toy since I've owned him. I've tried giving him all kinds of toys- shreddable ones, wooden ones, plastic ones, everything, and he hasn't touched a single one.
Do any of you know how I can influence him to play with his toys?

Some birds just arent interested in toys. some might be interested in chewing or shredding..or preening things. I have so many birds w/ differnt interests, having to be creative to get them interested in "things". try making "homemade" toys so you arent spending a lot of money on things he wont play w/..get creative. Let him sit w/you while you build him toys..you might find what intrest him by letting him investigate what you are doing. http://www.cheepparrottoysntips.com/index.html
here's a great site for homemade toys.

Some birds will become interested if you set the example by playing with the toy while they watch. You could also try putting a bit of food on the toy, so he has to touch the toy to get the food. That can lead to exploration!

Thanks everyone! I'll try all that as soon as I get over my sinus infection I got a few days ago. I don't wanna be all in my birds face and cough on him, but thanks, I wouldn't have thought of any of that. (=
