I can't wait until my baby decides she wants to try flying!

Did she come out of her cage yet? Is your cage on a table? You can just make her perch on you and she will fly on the flat surface

Actually, I came in my room a few minutes ago. I have a big upright cage I keep all of my birds in. Now the baby was not only out of the nestbox, but on top of the cage! I was like, how the heck did she do that? The only way she could have done that was if she climbed up the cage bars. What age do young birds start climbing up the cage bars?

Really? I'm shocked. Was the cage door closed? It will be pretty shocking if she knew how to open the door.

Are you going to put her back in the nest?

The door was open. She just flew! I'm so proud of her!

Losing that over-sized crop sure helps!

She never stays in the nest, so why bother? Its been twice now that she's climbed up the cage bars and gotton on to a perch. I guess those balance exercises I've been doing have really helped! Can you babies stay balanced yet? By the way, I know someone who lives in Orlando.
