I 'm hoping to get Pied and whitefaced birds mostly. I don't mind the Pearls (that some of mine have). But dropping in a Lutino would make my head spin even more than it already is. I didn't even know you could have a split for lutino without it being visual in the cock! (even though I should know cause I use a calculator now and again where all the options are shown...)

Don't worry Bob, the inheritance rules for lutino are the same as the rules for cinnamon and pearl. The sex-linked inheritance rules are hard to learn, but once you wrap your mind around them it works the same way for all three of these mutations (and also for sex-linked yellow cheek, which most of us will never work with).

The basics: Boys can be split but girls can't. Girls can only get the gene from their father, and if they get it from him they will be visual. Boys have to get the gene from both parents to be visual, and if they get the gene from only one parent they'll be split.
