It's April 13, the day that I lost Bio. He was a really sweet bird and had to have an unfortunate ending. I'm just glad I didn't see him get hurt. I guess that's a pretty positive part of the tragedy.

The flock has been doing really good a year later. Bio's chicks have grown up and is extremely friendly with me. I'm like their father. They all fly to me at the same time daily.

Marshmallow (Bio's mate) has found a new mate and are very bonded. They mate occasionally but don't lay eggs.

We had 2 more additions a few months ago and one of them is super friendly with me.

The chicks are already finding their own mates to spend their lives with.

Everything's going great so far. I know it was sad to lose him and I will always miss him and his name will always be remembered. I'm just glad things are going well now.

It's a sad anniversary, but I have to admit that I was really relieved when I saw what this thread was about. I was afraid that you had lost another bird, but instead the current news is all good stuff. We never forget the pets that we've lost and they always have a place in our hearts, but it's wonderful that you're having happy times with the birds you have right now. Bio left his children with you as a living legacy.
