Thank you everyone for the kind words and thoughts, I appreciate more than I can say. Yesterday I buried him in the garden and put a little plant on top, it will prosper and become part of him. The cycle of life, right? Charlie Hamish worries me because he has been waiting for Burt for two days now, today more frantically. I left the body with them all for quite a while, I read it's better this way and it worked in the past, but Charlie hasn't grasped the concept. Me neither to be honest, I keep counting them as I always do and feels horrible to see only six. Thank you again, you are lovely and understanding souls and I am lucky to know you.

Burt's story brought tears in my eyes. I hope he is in peace. Thank you Barbara for being in his life. With you, he learned what love is. I hope his birdy buddy has some comfort soon...
